The Adult & Family Learning Team provides free learning in adult basic skills, community-based adult learning, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), and family learning.

Adult Literacies offers help with basic skills like reading, writing, and using numbers. This can make everyday tasks easier, such as filling out forms, helping children with school, budgeting, and reading for fun. Improving these skills can also help if you want to get a job or change your job.

We offer SQA Core Skills accreditation, which looks good on a CV and can help you get into college. Passing the driving theory test can open up more job opportunities, and we can help you prepare for it as well as for the Construction Skills Certification Card.

The Community-Based Adult Learning program adapts to what people in our local communities need, based on feedback from learners.
