Highland Rainbow Folk Group

We use storytelling as a model to raise awareness and understanding of the discrimination older LGBT people may have experienced. Discrimination can make accessing services particularly difficult and may lower expectations of receiving the same consideration as others in health and social care settings.

All our storytellers are over the age of fifty, although we do have younger LGBT volunteers who support the work of the group in other ways.
