Take Home Naloxone Programme

This is a Claimed service
Delivered by: Alcohol & Drugs Action This is a Claimed organisation
Last reviewed: 14/03/2023

Naloxone, which can temporarily reverse an opioid overdose for up to 20 minutes, is now available on-site at ADA. Drug-related deaths remain a huge concern and Naloxone is an important part of the programme of activities in place to prevent drug-related deaths in Scotland.

The legislation means that people can come to ADA and get the kits here rather than having to go to a pharmacy to collect them. The legislation also makes it easier for family members to obtain kits.

We would encourage anyone who has a friend or loved one with a history of using opiates (e.g. heroin, methadone etc ) to come and get their free Naloxone kit from ADA
