Going Forward

Since May 2017, Going Forward has worked in partnership with over 50 organisations to deliver over 550 workshop sessions for high-tariff, vulnerable and at-risk young people.
Our sessions focus on core themes of health, wellbeing and risk-taking behaviours, particularly:
substance misuse
sexual health and relationships
online safety
gambling
During each session, young people are provided with information about risk-taking behaviours and encouraged to reflect on their own health and wellbeing, alongside the health and wellbeing of others.
Feedback from the organisations and young people that we work with has highlighted that young people can be prevented from reaching positive destinations because of issues around substance misuse, unsafe sex and poor mental health.
These same organisations have kindly provided us with case studies that show that Going Forward sessions are particularly beneficial for the vulnerable and at-risk young people.
