The main role of Community & Learning volunteers is to ensure visitors enjoy their time at the Highland Wildlife Park: 

  • Volunteers will assist Discovery and Learning Staff in the delivery of sessions, including, tours, and workshops delivered to learners of all ages. Groups include early years, schools, colleges, universities, and beyond.  
  • Volunteers may assist in the delivery of activities on term-time and holiday programmes, these days include set up, guiding groups throughout the park, assisting with sessions and helping D&L staff as required. 
  • Volunteers may assist in the delivery of family and community programme sessions. Including the setting up and supporting with materials for each session. 
  • Most of our learning sessions have an outdoor element to inspire learning to connect with nature. Volunteers are expected to support this delivery. 
  • Volunteers need to be at least 18 years old
