The Good Shepherd Secure Service

Last reviewed: 15/04/2020

The Good Shepherd Centre’s secure service provides a safe environment for 12-17 year olds at risk of harm to themselves or others. They are placed under 24 hour supervision and are referred through the Criminal Justice System or the Children’s Hearing System.

The Secure Unit consists of three 6 bed house units. House Unit 1 functions as an assessment unit. If the young person remains in the centre following their assessment they will transition into one of the other 2 units where they will undertake specialist intervention services as identified in their assessment.
