UMatter

This is a Claimed service
Delivered by: Dalkeith Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) This is a Claimed organisation
Last updated: 12/01/2026

UMatter engages men who are isolated and vulnerable due to bereavement, long-term mental or physical illness, disability, poverty, past trauma, being from marginalised communities, and similar. We offer practical and emotional support to participants via weekly group activities, one-to-one advice when needed, and building men’s knowledge, skills, confidence and opportunities for recovery, increased resilience and improved wellbeing.

Our UMatter worker assists clients to attend appointments, make phone calls and navigate life. Our worker, John, can support clients to a position where they feel able to seek advice from our main service - from obtaining bank statements, understanding letters or being supported on appointments. Group session every Thursday morning or 1-2-1 sessions if required.
