Our PEER (Providing Empowering Empathy and Reassurance) group was named by attendees for what they felt it gave them. We create a safe space where parents and expectant who are experiencing mental ill health in the first 1001 days from conception to 2 can come together to share experiences, advice and strategies.

Our group is led by the attendees and we discuss what they feel they need to discuss. Some of the topics covered in the last year included:

  • Relationship
  • Parent-infant bonding
  • Managing stress
  • Sleep routines
  • Financial pressures
  • Unintentional injuries
