shmu's Youth Media Project provides creative opportunities for young people (12-19), primarily from the regeneration areas of Aberdeen, to participate in all aspects of the production of regular radio and TV broadcasts, films, press stories and music.

The Youth Media Project builds on the success of a number of projects that shmu has delivered, including; the Youth Radio Project (YRP) which supports young people to broadcast weekly live radio programmes across the city on shmuFM; the Youth TV project which supported young people to produce and present live TV programmes and produce short films; and the shmuSOUND Youth Music Initiative project which supported young people to create, record, broadcast and disseminate original, previously unrecorded music.
