Shmu's Youth Projects offer a wide range of informal creative opportunities for young people aged from 11 to 25 years, primarily from regeneration areas of Aberdeen, but with some projects open to young people from across the region, to participate in all aspects of radio and podcast production, filmmaking, music technology and journalism.

A number of regular projects are available, from our regular Saturday morning Youth Media project, weekly Young Filmmakers group, 4 weekly Frame by Frame as well as holiday activities including an intensive week long Film School, One Day Challenges and more.

All projects are co-created with young people and aim to develop confidence, build social connections and deliver technical skills and knowledge around our creative platforms, supporting participants to improve their skills, network with peers and explore their creativity in an inclusive and engaging setting.
