EARS provides independent advocacy to people living in the Lothians.

We can:

  • assist people to speak up and ensure their voices are heard
  • provide accessible information so people can make informed choices
  • enable people to gain control over their situations and lives
  • help people to understand and protect their rights
  • listen, hear, respect and act with only that person in mind

We provide independent advocacy to the following groups of people:

West Lothian:

  • Older people (65+)
  • Adults (16+) with a physical disability and/or acquired brain injury
  • Adults (16+) who have survived a stroke
  • Adults (16+) with a diagnosed learning disability and/or autism

Midlothian:

  • Older people (65+)
  • Adults (16+) with a physical disability and/or acquired brain injury
  • Adults (16+) who have survived a stroke

East Lothian:

  • Older people (65+)
  • Adults (16+) with a physical disability and/or acquired brain injury
  • Adults (16+) who have survived a stroke

Edinburgh:

  • Adults (16+) who have survived a stroke
