The Back Garden

Delivered by: Concrete Garden
Last updated: 06/08/2025

In 2014, due to local demand for additional growing space, Concrete Garden worked alongside local partners and ERZ landscape architects to develop a new community growing site. ‘The Back Garden’ opened in November 2014 and has individual growing plots, large community plots and communal beds.

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved, get outside, learn about growing food and meet new people. Below is a list of some of the ways you could get involved:

  • Adopt a growing plot as an individual or community group
  • Join one of our weekly Social Gardening Sessions
  • Come to a weekly Play Session
  • Come along to a seasonal celebration event
  • Attend a course or workshop
  • Become a volunteer
