Telephone Friendship Groups

This is a Claimed service
Delivered by: Independent Age This is a Claimed organisation
Last updated: 11/01/2023

Independent Age’s Telephone Groups are friendly telephone groups for older people to socialise over the phone. Groups aim to connect you with 5-6 people in your area, to build confidence and share experiences. Groups will last up to 6 months and there is no cost to you.

How the groups will run:
Groups will run at the same time each week and last for 1 hour. You will be able to take part in your group from your home, all you need to do is to answer your phone and we’ll dial you into your group.
There will be five or six other older people who are interested in having a friendly chat. A group facilitator will be there to welcome everyone to call and to make it easier for everyone to enjoy the group call.
