The OPAL (Older People, Active Lives) service supports older people to increase their independence and well-being across the West Lothian area.

We support those aged 60+, connecting them to our team of dedicated volunteers who offer encouragement, companionship and assistance. We offer the following options to those looking to re-engage with social, leisure and community activities.

One-to-one support: befriending home visits, outings and telephone support

Social and Activity Groups: both face-to-face groups and online

Walking Groups: regular meet-ups for walks in Bathgate, Broxburn and Linlithgow

Digital support (help in using a computer, tablet or smartphone)
