Solstice Nurseries

Solstice Nurseries is a small Social Firm on the outskirts of Aberdeen City. We "Grow People and Plants" by providing work skills and training for people with serious mental illness. Here we grow a range of quality plants, mainly for trade, landscapers and designers, but individuals can purchase plants by prior arrangement.

The people who attend Solstice grow themselves, through working with plants, being in nature, being part of a team, growing their skills and confidence and planning for their future. We include some Mindfulness, work on our well-being and some social activities into our working day to help everyone grow to their full potential.

Currently, placements are funded through Social Work for individuals with an ongoing mental illness who want to learn skills and make positive changes in their lives.
