The Borders Community Sewing Club is a volunteer-run organisation that provides weekly sewing classes in the Scottish Borders. The group offers a safe and supportive learning environment for all skill levels, from beginners to experienced enthusiasts.

Current classes are held in four locations: Leitholm, Maxton, Stichill, and Gavinton.

Mon @ Leitholm 5pm - 8pm

Tues @ Maxton 6pm - 8pm

Weds @ Stichill 4:30pm - 7:30pm

Thurs @ Gavinton 5pm - 7pm

There is a small cost to these sessions, between £7-10.50 a time.

A dedicated class tutor offers guidance and support to help members with their projects. The group also provides all the necessary equipment, including sewing machines, overlockers, cutting mats, and tools.

Members have access to a variety of fabrics and haberdashery, with a focus on repurposing materials to prevent them from going to landfill.

There is a google form linked on Facebook to register your interest.
