To win furt means “to go or get outside” and that is what we are all about. In October 2021, the Tingwall, Whiteness and Weisdale Community Council sent a survey to every household in the district asking people what they would like to see the windfarm money that comes directly to this area spent on.  The overwhelming answer was safer walking and cycling. At the start of 2022, the community council met with the council to start work on putting this into action.  It soon became clear that the community council was not the right body, legally, to be able to do these sorts of projects.   Win Furt is a charity that has been set up by local folk with the encouragement of the community council to take these suggestions forward.A lot of 2023 was spent talking to local landowners about where paths might be possible and 2024 will see these options being put to the community for them to choose which ones they would like us to try to progress.
