Leverhulme Community Hub Ltd.

Last updated: 24/06/2025

The Hub is located in Leverburgh in South Harris. It comprises a Charity Shop, a Launderette, the South Harris Historical Society, the Harris Tapestry, an exhibition space and in 2025 we hope to have our Gym and Cafe fully operational. It is also an event venue for locals and visitors to Harris to use for family, community, business and corporate events.

We have a meeting room which can accommodate up to 10 people, and this can also be accessed for hot desking. We have a private room which can be rented, and we also have a community room with a servery.

The Hub is led by a team of 8 Directors, 7 of whom attended school in the same building which they helped save and refurbish. All of the Directors are volunteers, and Angus MacLeod is the current Chair of the Board.

The Hub's Charity Shop is run by a loyal team of volunteers. It is open Tuesday - Saturday, 10-4.00 pm.

The Launderette is open Monday - Saturday, 9-9pm.
