Castlemilk Park

Last updated: 28/08/2025

Castlemilk Park is owned by Glasgow City Council and was once part of the designed landscape and pleasure grounds of the now demolished Castlemilk House.  Since 2009 Cassiltoun Housing Association, along with the other Castlemilk Park Steering Group members and volunteers have helped to transform the park from a perceived no-go area into a much loved community asset.

The park’s mission statement is that “Castlemilk Park becomes a local resource that brings significant environmental, community and economic benefits to Castlemilk”.

This project helps deliver towards our health, employability, community engagement and early intervention targets.  In May 2011 Cassiltoun employed a Community Woodland Officer, who has co-ordinated and enabled the delivery of over 900 free events, activities, and outdoor education in and around the woods of Castlemilk Park.
