Guided by trained facilitators, participants come to help themselves and help each other using a variety of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and motivational tools and techniques.

Aberdeenshire Community Recovery is now supporting the delivery of SMART recovery meetings in Inverurie, Banchory, and Huntly, and has supported the Stonehaven ADAPT meeting to continue but convert back to a SMART meeting. Also, the Stonehaven Community Support Hub, which meets every Monday, will now offer a monthly SMART to this meeting, sharing the knowledge and awareness of recovery in all aspects of life.
