AK Bell Library has a number of departments offering a wide range of services, resources, information and support. A variety of books and audiobooks are available for loan and many online resources are also available for free such as eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines and eNewspapers.

Free access to PCs and wi-fi is available throughout the library. Maker Spaces provide access to the latest creative technology, and digital champions provide assistance with computer support.

The library regularly runs activities for children such as storytelling, Bookbug sessions and code clubs. For adults there are regular author events, reading groups, a reminiscence group, advice on music for dementia and much more.

We also have collections of books and resources to support you to understand and manage your health and wellbeing.

AK Bell Library, including Local Studies and Archives, is open Tuesday and Thursday 9.30am - 8.00pm, Wednesday and Friday 9.30am - 5.00pm and Saturday 9.30am - 1.00pm. The library is closed on a Monday. Library membership is completely free and everyone is welcome.
