GAMH Listening Service (Compassionate Distress Response Service – CDRS) for Adults

This is a Claimed service
Delivered by: Glasgow Association for Mental Health (GAMH) This is a Claimed organisation
Last updated: 07/01/2026

The GAMH Listening Service is here for you when life feels hard. If you’re feeling low, worried or worn out, we’re ready to listen.

The GAMH Listening Service is not therapy or counselling. We won’t give you advice or tell you what to do. Instead, we give you a safe space to talk about your thoughts and feelings.

Talking can help. Together, we may find ways to reduce your distress. We can also help you find other services that offer the right support for you or someone you care about.

To use the GAMH Listening Service you or your loved one must be:

  • 16 or over; and
  • Living in Glasgow

You can’t refer yourself, but you can ask your GP (Doctor) or Social Worker to refer you or a loved one.

Once we get their referral, we’ll try to call you within 24 hours.

Regions:
  • Glasgow City
