Inverness Ramblers group

This is a Claimed service
Delivered by: Ramblers Scotland - Inverness Ramblers This is a Claimed organisation
Last updated: 29/05/2025

We are based in Inverness, and we walk across a wide geographical area within the Highlands and Moray regions. As much of this area is wild and mountainous, many of the walks involve rough terrain and considerable ascents. However, we aim to balance these with coastal, forest and other less strenuous walks.

We are a friendly and welcoming group and are fortunate to be based in one of the most beautiful areas of Scotland. We love to walk and explore the stunning natural environment, wildlife, geology and history of the Highlands.

Our walk programme includes days out in the mountains, with opportunities to 'bag' Munros and Corbetts. There are also walks at a more leisurely pace, sometimes featuring special interest themes, taking in castles, archaeological sites, birdwatching opportunities and more.

We normally end our walks with a stop at a cafe or pub, with plenty of time for tea-breaks, picnics, photos and chat along the way!
