Many people living with a sensory loss become socially isolated as getting out and about, communicating with others and getting information about activities can be difficult. NESS’s Social Inclusion service is aimed at people who are socially isolated due to their sensory loss.

We run inclusive activities and social groups/clubs in Aberdeen and Moray, supporting older people to improve their quality of life by being active participants. We are also developing short term activities and classes for all adults with a sensory loss, these will be advertised as they become available and focus on inclusion, health and wellbeing. This has commenced with us piloting a year long term-based yoga programme.

We have a small group of volunteer drivers who enable people to access the activities. We have eligibility criteria which people must meet to be able to access this service

Regions:
  • Aberdeen City
  • Moray
