Counselling

Delivered by: TalkTime Scotland
Last updated: 16/12/2025

Our aim

We aim to provide free counselling and emotional support to young people aged 12-25 with a physical disability living in Scotland.

Our service

We offer free weekly individual sessions of one hour counselling in fully accessible rooms with friendly, experienced, qualified staff. You can say as much or as little as you like. We also offer counselling by video link or telephone if you prefer not to travel into our base in Leith. The times for this service can be more flexible, but it is also at a fixed time for one hour per week.

Where and when

We have sessions on weekday afternoons at totally accessible premises with disabled toilets and limited disabled parking. Sessions can also be online.

Confidentiality

Everything you tell your counsellor is totally confidential. This means that they are not allowed to tell anyone else what you have said. The only time this rule can be broken is if they are genuinely concerned about your safety.
