The Stirling School of English is a voluntary organisation providing low-cost English language tuition to all whose first language is not English, regardless of ability, ethnicity and political or religious beliefs.

Volunteers at the Stirling School of English support refugees, asylum seekers, economic migrants and students from around the world. This extends far beyond teaching English – it promotes social inclusion and helps tackle isolation; gives students a sense of belonging; helps students to work, further education and training; and helps them develop the language to deal with problems in everyday life.

We help turn lives around for the better, empowering others to improve their life chances through the power of education.
