Growchapel Community Growing Space

The community space is approx. 6000m2 planned for growing plots, raised beds, outdoor seating and learning spaces, wildflower patches and a range of creative sensory areas including a scented sitooterie, a place to relax and watch the world go by, or have a wee blether.

This will be somewhere new for the local community to grow and plant in plots and for people to enjoy the harvest which they produce, for their own dinner table or someone else’s. Growchapel aims to be an enjoyable place to mix and work with others, chat to local neighbours, reconnect with old friends and meet new people. We also plan to have a pizza oven for some fun alfresco dinning community events, perhaps gathering around the story telling chair to hear or share stories which matter to the people of Drumchapel.
