Blether Buddies Befriending

This is a Claimed service
Delivered by: Arran Community and Voluntary Service This is a Claimed organisation
Last updated: 09/02/2026

This Befriending Service offers a chance to make a new friend and help people overcome social isolation, helping people reengage with community activities. This can be with individual members of the community or to provide respite to a carer to allow them to have some ‘me’ time, whilst providing added companionship and interaction for the person being cared for.

Full training is provided for volunteers, which allows a chance to learn and build skills while giving something back to the community. We will also provide ongoing support and pay out-of-pocket expenses.

To refer to the service, please call us or email, "for the attention of the Befriending Co-ordinator", and ask for a referral form. Individuals can self-refer. If you are referring someone else, please ensure you have their permission to do so.
