Turning Point Scotland West Dunbartonshire Intensive Assertive Outreach Team provides Assertive Outreach and Intensive Case Management to support people currently experiencing problems with their alcohol and/or other drug use.

The assertive outreach approach offers a person-centred and flexible model of service. The service adopts a “no wrong door” approach, with multiple points of entry, including self-referral and providing an out of hours response with some overlap to facilitate follow up engagement and referrals to mainstream services and offer short periods of support to those who’s needs are not being met. This model is designed to take services throughout West Dunbartonshire to reach people who have traditionally struggled to engage, building a trusting relationship during this period.
