Perth Samaritans is a recognised branch of Samaritans.
For over 50 years, Perth Samaritans have been providing support for people.
We have a dedicated team of volunteers from all over Perthshire who provide emotional support by telephone. We also actively support people in our local area, through our outreach work.
As well as supporting our callers, we provide support to the local communities in our area. We work alongside Perth and Kinross Council and other partners towards reducing suicide throughout Perthshire.
In H.M. Prison Perth we train and support serving prisoners who act as Listeners for other prisoners in distress or at risk of suicide.
We regularly deliver talks and presentations to schools, local organisations and anyone else who is interested in learning about our work.
We are always looking to add to our team of volunteers as well as people who can help with fundraising events and new ideas.
