Adult Support Service

The adult service provides support to carers and former carers through one to one work and group activities. We aim to provide:
- Practical and emotional support
- Access to other statutory and voluntary organisations
- Access to other services within the Centre
- A variety of groups, alternative therapies and social events
- Training sessions
- Peer support
- Support in bereavement
The service also builds partnerships with local GPs, pharmacies and primary health care staff to help identify and support carers. It aims to:
- Identify carers
- Provide carers with appropriate support, guidance and information
- Help carers to access other organisations
- Provide primary health care staff with training/awareness raising
- Build and maintain partnerships with local pharmacies, GP surgeries, medical practices and hospital outpatient clinics
