Community Activities at the Barn

Crossroads Youth and Community Association (CYCA) delivers youth and community work alongside the people of Gorbals and Govanhill areas of Glasgow.

A range of community activities and classes are run at the Barn including:

  • Sew and Chat - a sewing group to share skills and practice conversational English
  • Gorbals Housing Action Group - local residents meeting to discuss housing issues and planning how to change them
  • Arts & Crafts Class - a space to get your creative juices flowing
  • Care 2 Knit - gather with other knitters and crocheters to chat, work on personal projects or help in building 'winter kits' for donating
  • Computer Literacy Class
  • Womans Yoga
  • Social Security Scotland Benefit Advice Appointments
  • Soup Group
  • Giggle 'n Grow - stimulating fun for every child and opportunities for parent and child to interact together
  • Toastie Fridays - gathering of community members to share in a blether over soup and toasties
