Children and Young People’s Advocacy

by Partners In Advocacy Claimed ( Conditions, Independent Advocacy, Children & Families )

Advocacy is about sticking up for people who are at risk of being excluded, ignored or mistreated. It’s about helping people to find out about options, make choices and tell other people what they want to happen. It’s about making sure that people are fully involved in decisions that affect their lives – and that other people listen to them and take their views into account.

We offer individual one to one advocacy in Dundee for all children and young people aged 21 and under who are unable to act for themselves, or have no independent person to act for them. Particular priority is however given to children and young people with:

Learning disabilities
Mental health issues
Transition issues
Isolation issues
Communication issues or
Issues as a result of being a young parent
