G5 Creators

Delivered by: Citizens Theatre
Last updated: 07/01/2026

The Citizens Theatre is an iconic venue and theatre company in the Gorbals area of Glasgow.

In partnership with our two local Gorbals primary schools, our G5 Creators programme offers after-school, fully funded drama and creative sessions. G5 Creators is inspired by the importance of play within the UN’s Convention on the Rights of the Child. The sessions will be open to P2-7 pupils from Blackfriars and St Francis primary schools. Pupils will take the short walk together from their schools to the Citz for weekly after-school sessions. G5 Creators will focus on arts and creative expression. Pupils will explore various forms of creativity such as drama, visual arts, and storytelling. These activities are not only fun but also aim to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. Across the year, young people will have the opportunity to take part in sharings and events.

Sessions take place on Tuesday afternoons during school terms.
