Breaking the Silence is a men’s mental health support service delivered by Alliance4Growth in Clackmannanshire. The service provides safe, welcoming spaces for men, particularly from ethnic minority and migrant backgrounds, to talk openly about mental health, reduce stigma, and build supportive peer networks.

Sessions include regular peer discussions, wellbeing activities, and sports such as football, group walks, and light fitness. These activities help improve mental wellbeing, reduce isolation, and encourage positive connections in a relaxed and supportive environment.

The service is free to access and open to adult men. No referral is required. Participants can attend regularly or as needed. Sessions are delivered every fortnight, with additional activities throughout the year. The service also provides informal support and signposting to local services where appropriate.
