Dumbarton Area Council on Alcohol - DACA

This is a Claimed service
Last updated: 23/09/2025

DACA is the community alcohol service for West Dunbartonshire. We offer advice, education, support and therapy to anyone who has been affected by alcohol harms - either through their own drinking, or someone else's.

DACA offers a professional alcohol counselling service, which is free and quick to access - with both daytime and evening appointments available. Counselling is usually done in-person, at one of our bases in Clydebank or Dumbarton. But telephone/video-conference counselling sessions are also available.

DACA also has a wide range of social and activity groups for our clients to access, with a regular weekly programme which includes walking, gardening, arts & crafts, fishing, breakfast club, supper club and much, much more. Our groups are free to access and they provide structure, routine, diversion, fun and friendship to our clients.
