Helping Hands Group

This is a Claimed service
Delivered by: Community House Ltd. This is a Claimed organisation
Last reviewed: 12/12/2023

The Helping Hands Group is a small adult group for over 18’s. The service users can attend for longer or shorter periods. Community House recognises that this group may be their only way of engaging with other adults and is used as a social outlet. Helping Hands also allows parents and carers a 2-hour respite. The group is very user-led, dependent on the adults' needs, and how they feel on the day will depend on what activities they would like to participate in, however, the opportunity for specific planned activity is also available. The adults will have lunch around a table after their activity in a relaxed, homely environment and engage in conversation while enjoying something to eat. In the summer external activities to get out in the community are planned, to promote physical activity, and visit the surrounding local parks.
