Whinnieknowe is a residential care home for 24 older people.

Located in Nairn, Whinnieknowe sits within its own leafy grounds, surrounded by beautiful gardens and trees, overlooking the River Nairn and the magnificent Cawdor Hills. Our aim is to create a happy and homely environment, where residents are encouraged and supported to live as independently as possible.

Each of our 24 single rooms is en-suite and decorated to a high standard. We have three comfortable communal lounges, a conservatory and a dementia-friendly garden.

Once you’ve secured a place at Whinnieknowe, we’ll sit down with you, your family and other agencies to put together an individual care plan.

We have local volunteer drivers to take residents on social outings and to clubs and groups outside the care home. We also arrange for people to come in to Whinnieknowe – from hairdressers and storytellers to medical professionals and clergy.

Call us if you have questions about costs, admissions or arranging a visit.
