GDA Disabled Women’s Network

Last updated: 17/09/2025

Glasgow Disability Alliance (GDA) programmes support disabled people and those with long term conditions across Glasgow.

GDA’s disabled women’s network comes together to ensure disabled women’s voices are heard in the drive for both disability equality and gender equality.

GDA know that disabled women are frequently voiceless and invisible. We are

determined to make sure that their voices are listened to, priorities acted on and

lives improved. GDA follow an intersectional approach, recognising and empowering women who face multiple oppressions and intersecting barriers, to participate. As such, diversity of disabled women’s voices and lived experience can be at the heart of identifying themes and building solutions with decision makers.
