In 2014, Barratt Homes gifted the piece of land to the local authority who then allowed Culter in Bloom to transform it into a place the whole community can enjoy.
After the land was cleared up, 25 fruit trees and 50 soft fruit shrubs were planted with the help of local residents and the authority’s Volunteer Rangers team. Culter in Bloom also added a strawberry bed and a number of decorative trees and shrubs.
