Access to Work service provides free, long-term mental health support for small and medium sized businesses, apprenticeship providers and the self-employed in Scotland.

This support is fully confidential to help participants struggling with their mental health to overcome common work-related challenges, including stress, anxiety, sleep issues, burnout, and bereavement.

Sessions are delivered for one hour per month for up to nine months. All support is delivered by our friendly team of Mental Health Coaches from The Better Health Generation. Opening times are from 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday.

You are eligible if your business or employer is:

  • Based in Scotland
  • Less than 250 employees
  • Employing paid members of staff
  • In need of work-related mental health support

Further resources and links for mental health and wellbeing, neurodiversity and coping strategies will be shared via an app or email between sessions.
This service is always free to access, with no costs for employers or participants at any point throughout the nine months of support available.
In-person face-to-face appointments with our mental health coaches can also be arranged in Scotland upon request
