Arts in the City (AITC)

Last updated: 08/12/2025

Arts in the City (AITC) is a Glasgow City HSCP project designed to support and improve access to arts and culture opportunities for individuals with lived experience of care. The project's Development Worker works in partnership with young people, social work and third sector organisations to promote the benefits of creative participation and self-expression.

AITC is working towards three long-term goals. These are to:

  • provide every young person with accessible and meaningful opportunities to engage with creativity and culture
  • support third sector organisations and increase sustainability of opportunities provided
  • recognise and promote the value of participation in creative and cultural activity for mental health and personal development

There are many opportunities for you to get involved with AITC. See website for information on specific opportunities for young people, carers, social workers and HSCP staff, and third sector arts/culture organisations.
