Hearing Aid Support

by Action on Hearing Loss Scotland Claimed

Hear to Help provides one-to-one support for residents of care homes, nursing homes and sheltered housing complexes as well as monthly drop-ins for hearing aid wearers in community settings. The exact dates for which can be seen below through the link to our website. We also help older people with hearing loss who have mobility problems in their own homes.

Our trained volunteers, many of whom have hearing loss themselves, carry out basic maintenance, such as cleaning ear moulds or replacing tubing and batteries, so that people get the best from their hearing aids. They also give advice on equipment that can make life easier in the workplace, or at home, and signpost people to other local support services, such as lipreading classes or hard of hearing groups.
