Course Overview:
Delivered in the peaceful woodlands at Newbattle Abbey College, this fully funded course offers a mix of therapeutic outdoor activities and the chance to gain a recognised award. Whether you are looking to reconnect with nature, improve your wellbeing or take a first step towards learning or employment, this course offers a calming, supportive and empowering experience.
Programme Details:
- Dates: Tuesday 28th April until Tuesday 16th June 2026
- Duration: 8 weeks (must be able to attend all 8 weeks)
- Time: 10am – 2pm
- Funding/Fees: This course is fully funded by the Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund for Adults
- Entry requirements: Participants are aged 16 and over and living in a Midlothian Council area
- Location: Newbattle Abbey College Woodland Campus
- Includes: Lunch, refreshments, waterproof clothing and boots
