Rumpus Room is an artist-led initiative working in collaboration with children and young people aged 14-25 on art and social action projects. The studio's current programme includes:

  • Open Studio
  • Gardening Club
  • Yard Play (6-12yrs)
  • Romp Around (under 5s & families)
  • Rumpus Queer Makers (14-18yrs)


The studio is run by a small group of artists and community workers alongside a Young Artist’s Committee (16-25yrs) and an advisory board. All workshops and meet-ups are free and there is an access/travel budget available. Please get in touch if you would like to join an event or get involved with the programme.

There is an accessible ground floor gender neutral toilet which can be accessed by wheelchair users from the yard and through Bike for Good. There is currently a 4cm step at the toilet entrance.
There is an accessible ground floor gender neutral toilet with a baby-changing station, nappies and sanitary products.
The studio is on the ground floor, but is not currently wheelchair accessible. It is accessed through three doorways. The first doorway is 84cm wide, and the other two are currently between 74-75cm wide. There is, however, indoor space directly outside of the studio room that can be set up as a working space for wheelchair users.
