The Citizens Theatre is an iconic venue and theatre company in the Gorbals area of Glasgow. We create ground-breaking theatre productions and empowering participatory projects, and we’re delighted to now welcome audiences, both new and old, into our beautifully redeveloped home. We are passionate about engaging people and communities across Glasgow and beyond.
We are delighted to be introducing opportunities for people to volunteer with us here at the Citz, where people are at the heart of everything we do. We welcome volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds.

We have 8 wheelchair positions within our Main Theatre.
We have a small car park adjacent to the building for visitors. There are four blue badge spaces within the car park. Early arrival on performance evenings to secure a space is recommended.
Level access from the street, through the foyer and into the auditorium
Accessible and ambulant toilets are located throughout the building, including two fully accessible toilets outside our Event Studio on the ground floor and one outside our Participate Studio on the first floor.
Hearing aid induction loops
Two public lifts are available: Courtyard Lift provides access to each level of the auditorium Close Lift provides access to Circle level of the Main Theatre and our Heritage Stories space on the second floor
