by Health In Mind Claimed ( Health & Social Care Services, Mental Health Issues )
The Wellbeing College is funded by the Health and Social Care Partnership in Scottish Borders. The college uses an education model to offer people facing mental health challenges the opportunity to explore self-care and realise their potential. The college courses will be co-produced, meaning those who attend our courses also help shape them. We gather ideas for courses from local people and develop our prospectus according to the needs and expertise of our students. In addition to offering courses, the college has a small resource hub at our base in the Hive, where students can access the internet, books, magazines and leaflets to support their learning.
The college is for anyone living in the Scottish Borders who is aged sixteen and over. You do not need to have a diagnosed mental health difficulty, as the college helps people connect with others in their local community who are interested in exploring how to live well, no matter what symptoms they are experiencing. The college also welcomes family members, carers and supporters of people living with mental health challenges.
