Wicketz is a free community cricket programme for young people aged 8–19, designed to provide a safe, inclusive, and fun space to play, learn, and grow. It is open to all abilities and backgrounds, with a focus on using cricket to promote physical activity, confidence, teamwork, and important life skills.Participants can expect weekly sessions delivered by qualified coaches, with activities that include cricket games, skill-building drills, and workshops on topics like leadership, respect, and wellbeing. The programme also offers opportunities to take part in festivals, events, and youth leadership forums. Wicketz hubs currently run in areas across Glasgow, namely Springburn, Pollokshields and Bellahouston/Ibrox.

Hubs:

  • Springburn (Girls-only hub) - Every Thursday 6-7pm, Springburn Park
  • Springburn (Mixed) - Every Thursday 7-8pm, Springburn Park
  • Bellahouston/Ibrox - Every Friday 4-5pm, Glasgow Club Bellahouston
  • Pollokshields - Every Friday 6-7pm, Glendale Primary School
