Woodwork: Social Furniture

by House For An Art Lover Claimed

TUTOR Glasgow Tool Library
DAY Sunday 11am – 4pm
DATES 9 February
PRICE £35
LOCATION Art Studios

In this workshop we will collaboratively design and build outdoor furniture themed around meeting points. We regularly use public furniture, sculpture or landmarks as points to meet and interact with each other. The shape, location and aesthetic of these objects defines the way we behave around them, both as individuals and collectively. How could we edit their design to enhance our behaviour in public space?

Participants will work together around 4 themes; communicating, sharing, relaxing and playing and interpret these themes to create 4 pieces of furniture.
