Shetland Community Connections

Shetland Community Connections promotes inclusion, belonging and wellbeing for people and unpaid carers across Shetland. We support individuals to live ordinary, fulfilled lives as active members of their communities, free from stigma, judgement and unnecessary intervention. Guided by kindness, compassion and strong relationships, we listen, work collaboratively and co-produce person-centred solutions. Our work helps people and carers feel less isolated, better informed and more confident in understanding and managing self-directed support, participating in social care assessments, planning their support and accessing meaningful community connections — with the freedom to live life in their own way.
