Advocacy Highland This organisation is a Registered Charity
Advocacy Highland provides one-to-one, issue-based independent advocacy to individuals aged 16 and over throughout the Highland Council Area.
We are funded to advocate for people identified under the terms of the Mental Health (Care & Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003, specifically people with mental ill health, learning disabilities, personality disorders, ASD or dementia, regarding their care and treatment.
We don’t give advice or opinions, and we cannot guarantee the outcome, but we can ensure your voice is heard and your rights are recognised, respected, and secured.
From time to time, we may secure extra funding for additional short-term advocacy projects.
Our advocacy service is free and confidential. We are independent from other agencies like the NHS or social work.
We can accept self-referrals or referrals from friends or family, as well as referrals from professionals.
